The cricketer turned commentator Aakash Chopra recently uploaded an interesting video on his YouTube channel. 

The coronavirus has created havoc in the world. The sporting industry had to bear the brunt of the COVID-19 pandemic. The game of cricket also faced the heat as all the tournaments and series have either been suspended or canceled. 

The cricketers like any other citizens are practicing self-isolation and social distancing while being in their homes. Also, they have been quite active on the social media interacting with the fans and putting their opinions forward on various issues.

While being in self quartination Aakash Chopra has come up with a brilliant concept. He released his best playing XI for the T20 format. However, the twist in this is that his best XI included the cricketers who never got the chance of playing this shorter format of cricket.

An insight into the best XI T20 of Aakash Chopra

Chopra chose a handful of the best players from the ’90s era to form his team. 

For the opening slot, he picked the duo of Gordon Greenidge and Barry Richard’s. Brain Lara was given the crucial No. 3 spot in Chopra’s list.

Aakash Chopra was all praises for one of the best cricketers Viv Richards. He found Viv Richards perfect for Number 4 position in the T20 format. 

Further, he selected Pakistan captain, Imran Khan as the skipper of his T20 team. 

If we talk about Indians, Kapil Dev bagged a position in Aakash Chopra’s playing XI. 

Moreover, he also named another legendary all-rounder Ian Botham in the squad. Botham was known to revolutionize English cricket with his all-round skills.

Following Botham, Chopra picked Gary Sobers, who performs well in difficult times with both bat and ball. Zimbabwe’s Andy Flower was picked as the wicketkeeper of the team.

To make his bowling department more lethal he chose the explosive duo of Wasim Akram and Joel Gardner. Meanwhile, Chopra also picked Lance Klusener as the 12th man of the squad. 

After choosing the team, the cricketer was sure that his team would have defeated any team of this modern era.
