Two possibilities are being considered to reduce the length of the event
Now, there is a possible way to reduce the duration of the event. The Indian Premier League teams play each other twice. One game is going to be at home while the other will be an away game. However, if the teams only play each other once then the number of matches reduce. As a result, the duration of the entire tournament will reduce as well. On the other hand, the next option is to split the teams into two groups. Unfortunately, the franchises are not willing to consider this option.
