Yuvraj Singh Trolled for his “bhangi” Comment on Yuzvendra Chahal

Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has once again landed himself in a controversy. Netizens are trolling Yuvraj on twitter for his casteist remark on Indian bowler Yuzvendra Chahal. 

Yuzi Chahal has been entertaining his fans in the lockdown through his funny Tik Tok videos. The spin bowler is quite for his hilarious videos and receives a lot of appreciation from his fans. However, he has also been subjected to criticism and trolling for his videos by his Indian cricket teammates. 

A video has gone viral on social media which features India’s white-ball vice-captain Rohit Sharma and Yuvraj Singh. The video is of April month when the two cricketers had a candid chat on Instagram live. During the chat referring to Chahal’s videos, Yuvraj had taken a friendly jibe on him. 

Yuvraj had said, “Yeh b***gi log ko kaam nahi hai yeh Yuzi aur isko (Kuldeep).”

To this Rohit replied, “Yuzi ko dekha kya video daala hai apni family ke saath. Maine usko wahi bola ki apne baap ko nacha raha hai, pagal toh nahi hai tu,” 

Though the former cricketer had joked about Yuzi, netizens have not taken this well. They termed it as discrimination on the basis of caste. The short clip is trending on social media with ‘Yuvraj Singh maafi mango‘ being one of the leading trends. Till now, nearly 20,000 tweets have been made under this hashtag. The netizens want Yuvraj Singh to ask an apology from Yuzvendra Chahal for his casteist remark.
