This has been a very tiring year. From the world pandemic to multiple disasters, we’ve had a hard time. Video games have provided much relief during these hard times and more and more titles are on their way. Let’s take a look at the top upcoming games that are worth the wait.

The year is likely to witness a new era in gaming. With so many titles releasing, you know things are going to take a sharp turn in the world of gaming.

When you are talking about the best upcoming games of the year, Cyberpunk 2077 has to top your list. The open-world RPG is a landmark in gaming bringing forth many new dimensions to the gaming world.

Cyberpunk 2077 takes place in a fictional city in California. Players don the role of V, a mercenary who goes against the likes of warlords and criminals. Furthermore, Keanu Reeves is a part of the game, what more would one want?

The game is also a fresh take on RPG’s. It has a whole new mechanic and gameplay features that set it apart from other AAA titles.

The game developed and published by CD Projekt, the makers of Witcher 3, will make its way to players in November 2020. It will be available on PS4, Xbox One, PC and to the next-gen console the next year.

Assassin’s Creed Vallhalla

Ubisoft’s big game is also one of the most-anticipated of the year. Assassin’s Creed series is one with a major following. The saga of the Assassin’s across many continents and parts of history has kept players hooked. This time around, they’d be exploring the story of the Vikings.

The game is an alternate take on the Viking invasion of Britain. Players control Eivor, a Viking Raider who is more than what meets the eye.

The game will release on November 17, 2020, for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One. Ubisoft will also launch the game for next-gen once they drop.

Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite is the next big installment in the Halo series by 343 Industries. The Microsoft exclusive had a lot of hype going around it. The sixth in the series follows the story of Master Chief against returning and new foes in a world quite similar to the fans. Halo Infinite is planned to be launch alongside the Xbox Series X, the next-gen console from Microsoft.

The game’s gameplay reveal did receive some backlash for its graphics and gameplay, but that does not seem to stop the game.

Watch Dogs: Legion

The third installment of the famous Watch Dogs series; a world of hackers and more. Watch Dogs: Legion takes place in a futuristic London that is corrupt and is controlled by a private military firm and a criminal organization.

The biggest highlight of the game is its feature of making anyone a playable character. Yes, that’s right, you could recruit anyone to your legion, and fight the war against the evil.

Marvel’s Avengers

Now, who isn’t a fan of Avengers? Fans are getting a treat in the form of the new Marvel’s Avengers game. The action-adventure by Crystal Dynamics and Eidos and published by Square Enix features some of the most favorite Superheroes as playable characters.

The game also has an online co-op and follows a story after the assumed death of Captain America. Marvel Avenger’s gameplay trailer showed much potential and fans are hyped. The game releases on September 4, 2020, for Stadia, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

These aren’t the only great titles launching this year. There are many other games that fans and the community look forward to playing. Developers have been making the best efforts to bring forth the best games they possibly can and with next-gen consoles dropping, they are set to deliver.
