Everton this year have undergone big changes as they look to establish their status as a Europa League club. The changes made are both managerial and obviously squad-wise as well. Everton enjoyed success under Roberto Martinez initially. The manager was brought in to replace David Moyes and did an amazing job in his first season. Martinez was brought in just because of his FA cup triumph with a lowly Wigan despite the fact that the Latics were relegated in the same season as well.
Martinez has been sacked now though, and Ronald Koeman will fill his shoes. Martinez had a horrible season last year with the club performing well below expectations as the manager failed to get the best out of his players. Ronald Koeman is an awesome choice to replace the Spaniard. The former Southampton boss delivered The Saints’ best ever seasons back to back, qualifying for the Europa league above Chelsea and Liverpool and just a point below Manchester United.

Koeman also knows how to get the best out of the squad he has in his hands. If we compare Southamton’s squad with Everton’s , the Toffees’ squad is way better. The board members of the club have made the right choice bringing in Koeman, plus, they have been busy in the transfer market as well. Everton want to play in Europe no matter what this year, and that can be seen through the transfer activity of the club.
Ever since Leicester created history by lifting the Barclays Premier League last year, you can see that every other club now wants to win the title. There is new hope even amongst the just promoted clubs as Leicester showed that winning the league is not impossible even if you are not Manchester United or Chelsea etc.
Middlesbrough have made some great signings like Victor Valdes, Gaston Ramirez, Antonio Barragan plus signing Alvaro Negredo on loan. West Ham have clearly shown that they want a top four finish against all the odds as they signed Andre Ayew and Sofiane Feghouli to bolster their attack.
Everton as well have followed suit as they recently have signed Wales captain Ashley Williams from Swansea to replace John Stones. They have bought Marten Skeletenberg from Fulham, after the Dutch keeper returned to Craven Cottage after a loan spell at Southampton last season. Idrissa Gueye has been bought for around 7 million from Championship side Aston Villa after the midfielder had an impressive season with the club.

This is not enough for Everton as the revamp has just started , they are looking to buy Bolasie for 30 million if reports are to be believed, and are going in for French centre back Lamina Kone. Yannick Bolasie is reportedly all set for Everton and the deal may be wrapped up within a week or so. The Crystal Palace winger is a really good asset to have and can trouble the defences with his blistering pace and strength. He is one of the most influential players in the Palace squad and had amazing seasons with them since Alan Pardew came in as their manager.
