Guenther Steiner Hints at Leaving Romain Grosjean Out of the Haas’ Drivers Line-up for the 2021 F1 Season

Romain Grosjean has been complaining about his car during this season more often than he used to. Haas team boss Guenther Steiner is fed up with the Frenchman’s comments on the team radio and to the media. Steiner feels that Grosjean is only making the job easier for him to find a new driver for the next season.
Grosjean has been a part of Haas since the team’s entry into Formula 1. But it looks like his happy days with the team are nothing but over. According to Motorsport.com, Steiner opened up that Grosjean is showing the media everything about the car and how bad it is.
“What Romain thinks you know well- he attacked- he says clearly what he thinks about the car and makes sure that everyone knows,” Steiner said.

“So even the media knows it well. It is in solidarity with journalists. In the end, I have to work less, because I don’t have to explain anything to you. You already know everything from him. Maybe it’s an act of kindness on his part because he saves me from the work,” Steiner said.
“And perhaps all of this will also help me in choosing a driver. Basically, it’s helping me.”
Romain Grosjean does not seem to have a lot of options outside Haas. Three teams are yet to reveal their line-up for the next season. But with the drivers’ market holding much younger and better drivers, it would be a surprise if any team opts for Grosjean over others.
But he does have options outside of Formula 1. Recently, the Frenchman revealed that Formula E is the best option he has got at the moment, apart from Indy 500 and Le Mans.

Post the race at Sochi, Guenther Steiner showed his disappointment with Grosjean’s complaints about his car. “What happened to Romain was documented extremely well in the TV broadcast,” Steiner said. “He speaks to people so I do not have to do it to you or in the press release.”
“He told very clearly what he thinks about the car. Good for him,” Steiner said.
