Indian players who have impressed in IPL 10

We are 13 days in IPL 10 and this season is already promising some exciting new players who can play for the Indian team in the future. Essentially Sports brings you the list of Indian players who have impressed the most in this year’s IPL.

  • Shahbaz Nadeem

    Shahbaz Nadeem has been pick of the bowlers for the Delhi Daredevils in this edition so far. Though he hasn’t picked up a lot of wickets, but he is the bowler Zaheer has gone to for stopping the flow of runs. He was bowled in the power play and the middle overs and always stemmed the flow of runs. In the three matches that he has played, he has bowled 10 overs at an economy of just 4.90 and picked up 4 wickets. In fact, he has the best economy in this edition which further proves the point.

  • Rishabh Pant

    The 19 year old young lad is surely the future of Indian Cricket. He bats down the order for Delhi Daredevils and hence hasn’t had a chance to play a long innings but for sure has displayed his hitting skills by smashing the bowlers all around the park. He took apart Umesh Yadav in his last match, smashing him for 3 sixes and two fours in an over. Pant has a bright future and is here to stay.

  • Sanju Samson

    He has been the best batsman for Delhi till now and DD depend on him a lot. In the match against RPS, he single handedly provided impetus to the DD total and took it past 200 by scoring a magnificent 102. He is the highest scorer for Delhi and is 7 on the list for the most runs scored in this season. Also, he has been fielding quite well, showing his presence of mind by preventing Manish Pandey from scoring six runs in the last match against KKR. He is a complete package, a player Delhi would need to perform in the future as well if they want to make the playoffs.

  • Manan Vohra

    Manan Vohra has been around playing for different franchisees in the IPL for a long time now. He has always amazed people with his striking capabilities as an opener and is perfectly suited for the format. His capabilities could be seen from the fact that he almost took his side over the line against SRH, by scoring runs at will on a pitch where the other batsman struggled to get on with it. He has scored 174 runs at an average of 34.80 and a strike rate of 165.71 and is 6 on the list of the most runs scored this season.

  • Nitish Rana

    Nitish Rana has been a dependable player for the Mumbai Indians this season. He has scored some important runs for the team and bailed them out of trouble. The 23 year old, with Rohit Sharma out of form, has been so effective that he has 2 30s and 2 50s from the 5 matches he has played and has been the Man of the Match 2 times for propelling MI score to a respectable one. He has 193 runs from 5 matches at an average of 38.60 and a strike rate of 133.10 and is the man to watch out for.

  • Krunal Pandya

    He has been the finisher along with Kieron Pollard and has closed of many games and has been instrumental in Mumbai Indians being at the top of the table. His all round skills have been very useful. His innings of 37 from 30 balls against RCB was his best this season considering the situation he was in. With the team struggling at 7 for 4 needing 136 more to win the match, he along with KP powere MI home, Pandya ensuring that he is there till the end. He has also picked up 4 wickets from the 5 matches he has played at a decent economy of 6.86.

  • Bhuvneshwar Kumar

    He has been the bowler of the tournament so far. With 15 wickets in the kitty already from 5 matches, he is set to break some records this season. He has been the ideal bowler for Warner getting him wickets at the start, in the middle and at the death and has also been economical having an excellent economy of 5.40. Kumar has been the perfect bowler so far and SRH would be hoping that he breaks a lot of records this season.
