Roberto Mancini’s rebuilding at the San Siro continues as Joao Miranda becomes the latest player to be added to the Nerazzurri’s squad.
Miranda has been a key player for Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid as he helped the club win the 2013-14 La Liga title and reach the 2014 Champions League final during four years in Spain.
The 30-year-old Brazilian would be the third summer signing for Roberto Mancini, with Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia joining in a $45 million deal and Granada defender Jeison Murillo purchased for nearly $9 million.

After a run of five-straight titles ended in 2010, Inter has finished second, sixth, ninth, fifth and eighth in Serie A. Mancini took over during last season’s rough ride, and the club has been tipped for big name additions like Yaya Toure and Kondogbia. The latter has arrived, and Miranda is a solid pick-up.
Quoting from the BBC the Italian club’s president statement:
“Miranda is another great addition to Roberto Mancini’s squad for our new Inter,”
“He is as eager as we are to get started on our new adventure.”
The transfer fee of the player isn’t disclosed yet but if the Spanish media reports are to be believed, the center back cost around £10.6m for the Italian club.
