Fierce. Aggressive. Fast. That’s the first words that come to any fan’s mind, talking about Dale Steyn. He has been the most important bowler for South Africa since his debut in 2004. He consistently bowls at around 145-150 kmph, with highest being 156.2 kmph in international cricket. Being the ICC cricketer of the year in the year 2008, he was later awarded as the Wisden cricketer of the year in 2013. As if the sheer pace of Steyn wasn’t enough to threaten the batsman, he generates incredible swing with good quality line and length, which makes him an incredibly fierce bowler. He took his 400th wicket against Bangladesh in what was his 80th test match making him the second fastest bowler along with Richard Hadlee to take 400 wickets. Steyn has been a benchmark fast bowler for the cricketing world with speed, swing and skill all by his side.
