While most footballing fanatics would be absolutely thrilled to see the MVP back in action, Brady himself prefers otherwise. The five-time Super Bowl MVP seems to have moved on from his playing days and is focusing on the next chapter.

Brady’s ex-teammate and best friend Rob ‘The Gronk’ Gronkowski was also asked about the subject, and he certainly had an insightful take.

These rumors caught fire after a relevant someone heard rumors of a particular quarterback coming back to the league, the man responsible for these rumors is none other than the television sportscaster and radio host Rich Eisen.

Brady was however quick to draw a curtain over these speculations.

Rob Gronkowski sat down with Boston.com and shared his own opinion of the rumors swirling around Tom Brady.

“That was a surprise when I saw that news. It actually put me on my toes. I was very shocked when I saw that. I feel like Tom is definitely totally done playing. I haven’t talked to him or anything about it. I’m not speaking for Tom. Just from everything I saw from his retirement video and everything I just feel like he is just done playing football. It was just very shocking though when I heard that news the other day.”

Despite not having spoken to TB12 about his plans, Rob Gronkowski feels confident that Brady is done with football, or at least playing at a professional space.

Though most people would argue that Brady still has a couple of years left in him, the legendary quarterback intends to go through with his decision, and focus on the next chapter.

A fresh start

Despite hanging up his boots, Brady is not abandoning the NFL community. The GOAT is all set to take over the analyst’s booth, but we fans would have to wait till 2024.

FOX Sports have already decided to offer Brady the lead analyst position, and have reportedly given him a 10-year, $375 contract.

Brady received this offer just two months after deciding to un-retire and join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which came as a shock to the entire sports world. But now that fans have had time to process the information, they are just grateful to have Tom Brady continue being involved with the game.

Brady intends to enjoy his ‘gap’ year to the fullest before joining the FOX Sports team as one of their most accomplished members.
