Podolski Called A Social Media Addict

Former German captain, Lothar Matthaus has criticised Podolski for devoting too much time to social media and believes that he needs to prove his ability as a player again.

The 29-year-old is set to join Inter Milan on a loan deal after a frustrating season at Arsenal, where he did not start a single league game.

Even though the forward has earned an impressive 121 caps for Germany and was also a part of the World Cup winning squad this season, Matthaus feels that he hasn’t done enough  on the pitch.

“Lukas has his qualities; now he must prove them by bringing them back to the pitch,” he said to Sky.

“In the past we heard how he tweets more than he plays. He needs to concentrate on football”

Podolski did not hold back against the World Cup winning captain and replied via Twitter saying: “I find it very amusing that Matthaus should give me precise tips on how to behave.”
