The Indian dressing room was in the spotlight again for the wrong reasons as one of Sri Lanka’s biggest fans Percy Abeysekera was accused of breaching the security. The dressing rooms are heavily guarded areas to restrict anyone from entering to avoid any chance of corruption. International Cricket Council’s Anti-Corruption and Security Unit has barred unauthorised officials from entering without the highest level of clearance.

Percy, one of Sri Lanka’s oldest fans claimed that visiting team’s skipper Virat Kohli had invited him to meet the boys in the dressing room, but this hasn’t been well received by the ACSU. Percy was seen mingling with Murali Vijay, Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli on TV.

“Kohli invited me to the dressing room. I sang some Hindi songs. We hugged and kissed and had a lot of fun,” Percy told reporters on Saturday. Percy also added “There was an Indian ACSU official there and he didn’t like me in the dressing room. He asked me to leave and told me I am not allowed to enter either of the dressing rooms. There is no black mark associated to me.”

Although, the 79-year-old fan may not be a threat to ACSU, there was a concern as the rules were breached.
