India pulled a handsome victory over Bangladesh to win their 6th Asia Cup and hence remained unbeaten in the tournament. After a brief wait of two hours due to the wet outfield, the match started at 9 p.m IST. The match was reduced to 15 overs per side.

After a slow start, Bangladesh rode on Mahmudullah’s gritty knock of 33 from 13 to post a competitive total of 120. For India, Ravichandran Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah did a very good job.

India had a terrible start after Rohit Sharma edged one to the first slip in the 2nd over. From there on, Shikhar Dhwan and Virat Kohli built a steady partnership and looked in control of the match until Dhwan got out in the 13th over.

Then came MS Dhoni to finish off the match in a jiffy. He clobbered 2 huge sixes and a four to finish the match with 7 balls to spare. Shikhar Dhawan was adjudged the man of the match for leading India to the 6th Asia Cup title. Virat Kohli was once again instrumental in stabilising the innings.
