The U17 England team defeated Spain in an all-European final at the FIFA World Cup in India. The final score read 5-2 in England’s favour as the Lions dominated the match. The Spaniards drew first blood with a brace from Gomez. That was all that was needed for England to stage a comeback and fire in 5 goals to win the match. This was England’s first U17 World Cup win. They had Brewster, Foden, Gibbs-White and Guehi to thank for the victory. Here is how social media reacted to the win. Meanwhile, Brazil defeated Mali to finish 3rd in the standings.
