Roberto Martinez believes the Manchester United squad is strong enough to win “every single trophy” next season. Everton beat Manchester United 3-0 at Goodison Park on Sunday to inflict a second straight Premier League loss on Louis van Gaal’s side. Despite the results, Martinez is pretty confident about the Manchester club to be fighting for every trophy next season even though they suffered early exits from F.A Cup and League Cup this season. United also was an absentee from the Champions League this season, which never happened in the last 30 years. “They are strong in every department. This squad is starting to show what they are capable of,” the Spaniard claimed. “You are looking at a new manager who arrived in this league and it takes time. But I think Louis Van Gaal will be ready to challenge next season for every single trophy.” United remain in fourth, seven points ahead of Liverpool, but having played a game more than the Reds, an anxious end to the campaign could ensue.

<strong>Brief History</strong>

Manchester United is regarded as one of the oldest football clubs in the Premier League. The team was formed in 1878, but under the name?Newton Heath LYR Football Club. It was only in 1902 that it was officially named Manchester United.

The Red Devils are arguably the most successful team in the Premier League. This was even back when the League was known as the Football League.

From 1945 onward, after the second World War, it was also the beginning of one of the greatest eras of Manchester United. In other words, it was the era of the 'Busby Babes'. However, in 1958, the rampant Busby Babes were halted in their tracks, by the Munich Air disaster, which claimed the lives of eight players. However, Matt Busby managed to rebuild the team once again.

Then, from 1986 to 2013, the next great Manchester United era began. Namely, the Sir Alex Ferguson era, where the Red Devils were dominant. Although they had a sluggish start, they came into their own in the 1990s.

Currently, after going through a few managers like David Moyes, Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho. Finally, the team has settled with United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
