Valtteri Bottas Crashes Out as Mercedes’ Miserable Races Continues

As if things could not get any worse for Mercedes as Valtteri Bottas threw away a surefire podium. The Finnish driver was chasing Lance Stroll for third place when he spun and crashed heavily. At the time, Max Verstappen was leading the race from Daniil Kvyat and Stroll.

Earlier, Lewis Hamilton spun off yet again and dropped to the back of the pack. It was already a crazy race after Charles LeClerc crashed out early and the final turn caught out several drivers, including Hamilton and LeClerc. Another victim was Nico Hulkenberg, who nearly grabbed his maiden podium.
