Coco Gauff is one of those players who is shouldering the hopes of fans for creating a better than before tennis generation. She has proven herself on a variety of platforms and has had noteworthy runs on all surfaces. What is really fascinating is how she didn’t sacrifice all her interests in doing so.

The 18-year-old knows how to balance her professional and personal life. She truly portrays the spirit of this generation, a part of which is taking fun little breaks. Speaking of which, she recently gifted herself a ticket to a Lizzo concert.

A fun outing for Coco Gauff

Gauff, after flaunting her skills in the US Open, took the much-needed recreation break and attended the American singer’s concert. Dressed in a cute black outfit, she wrote, “Thank you for a great night.” 

Further, she also detailed the reason behind her footwear selection. “Had to bring out the thickkkk platforms for Lizzo.” A happy Gauff posing in the show’s premise with the artists ‘About Damn Time’ playing in the background wrote.

Thereafter, the young blood shined in the US Open. After defeating China’s Shuai Zhang in straight sets of 7-5 7-5 at the Arthur Ashe she made it to the quarterfinals of the Slam.

Gauff in the American swing

Following an early exit in the grass-based Grand Slam of London, Gauff managed to switch gears for the US hard court swing. She made an appearance in the last eight of the Silicon Valley Classic and, with that form, entered the Canadian Masters.

At the Toronto Open, she took down the Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina and executed a decent quarterfinal run. Also, she claimed the doubles trophy alongside Jessica Pegula. However, in the next WTA 1000 event, Gauff suffered an ankle injury and walked out in the opening round itself.
