Zlatan to be Louis van Gaal’s ‘Surprise Signing?’

The recent reports across the Europe suggest that Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be Louis van Gaal’s ‘Surprise Striker’.

Manchester United who were thought to be chasing Barcelona’s Pedro have now been thought to be close to signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic, after the Louis van Gaals statement yesterday about a ‘surprise striker’.

Manchester United  have been linked with a host of players across all major European leagues. However, Louis van Gaal has stormed the internet yesterday with his press conference where he said, “It is a process and we are in for a striker, he is not what the media suggests. He will be a surprise striker.”

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been linked with AC Milan this whole summer and had a 1/2 odds of joining the San Siro side. However, the bookies have drastically changed the odds last night and suddenly, Zlatan to  Manchester United has gone from 20/1 to 5/1.

A number of betting companies including Skybet suggest that Ibrahimovic might well be that surprise striker and the betting has escalated quickly on it. However, no clear indications on the fee are coming up but it is believed that the fee may well be close to £15m.

Zlatan who moved to Paris St Germain from AC Milan has been vocal about the French League and its football and the player has been linked with a number of clubs.

The rumour if true, Manchester United fans might well have to consider putting up a Ed Woodward statue outside Old Trafford.
