ES’ ODI XI of 2015

2015 is finally over and it was one hell of a year in the cricketing worlds. It was a year the 400 became the new 300 and 300 became the new 200. ODI double centuries became an overnight trend.

This year we witnessed the most high scoring World Cup ever with scores of 400 being surpassed with ease. But this became too rampant and was then countered by a frantic rule change in ODI cricket which was relieving for bowlers. All events taking place in span of one year. It’s quite hard to believe that.

Here is a list of players who made ODI cricket worth watching for the year 2015.

  1. Martin Guptill

And here’s a cricketer who showed his class as an opener in the World Cup as well as the subsequent tours. He came into the limelight when he scored 237 runs against WI, the highest score ever in a World Cup match. He is the leading run scorer in ODIs this year having scored 1489 runs at an average of 55.89.
