This fixture has been a goal feast for past few season.  With Chelsea desperate to gather points and Everton trying to challenge for top 5 finish the game was once again a thriller to watch. There was an abundance of goals for either side unlike the reverse fixture at Everton, where the Toffees had dominated Chelsea. Essentially Sports looks at five talking points from the match.

Best of the Lot

For Everton Mirallas was the constant threat as Chelsea couldn’t quite manage to handle him. His quick feet had Chelsea’s best defender Zouma in trouble too. He was rewarded for this effort with a beautiful goal. He had other chances too but his finishing let him down on a couple of opportunities.

For the Blues, Fabregas was the pick of the players who dominated with possession. His distribution of passes was excellent and those long balls more often than not found Costa. He bagged an assist and goal for himself. Costa’s runs behind the defence allowed Fabregas to express himself more and defensively he was more aware, supporting others to win back the ball.
