Aaron Donald has been with the Los Angeles Rams since 2014 (previously St Louis Rams). He’s been a Pro Bowler on six occasions and was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2017 and 2018. He’s one of the most feared defensive ends in the league. On Sunday, he showed everyone exactly why.

Donald was phenomenal against Dallas Cowboys as the Rams pulled off a major upset on opening weekend. They inaugurated their new SoFi Stadium with a narrow 20-17 win over Dak Prescott and Co. Much of that credit goes to Donald’s efforts in defense. He made multiple plays to thwart Prescott’s effort to throw down the field.

The Rams next play Philadelphia Eagles away from home, and Donald will once again be in the thick of things for Sean McVay’s team in Week Two of the season.

Carson Wentz well aware of the danger Aaron Donald poses ahead of Sunday’s clash

Aaron Donald was phenomenal last year. He was ranked at the number one spot in the 2019 NFL Top 100 list and came in at number three this year. After a stellar display against the Cowboys on opening weekend, Donald will hope to repeat the same in Sunday’s game against Philadelphia Eagles.

Here’s what Eagles shot-caller, Carson Wentz, said about the star defensive end at a recent press meet.

“Aaron Donald, he’s a monster. Everyone knows it. Everyone around the league knows the type of player he is and how he can really disrupt an offensive game plan. And so for us, we’re aware of that. Somebody we’ve got to always know where he is, but at the same time, we’ve got to execute, not play afraid, not play timid. . . . He is a game wrecker,” Wentz said via ProFootball.

On the other hand, Wentz and his Philadelphia Eagles teammates suffered a harrowing 27-17 loss to Washington Football Team. They surrendered a 17-point lead in the second half of the game in what was one of the major upsets from Week One.
