Activision has had a lot of problems dealing with cheaters recently. Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Multiplayer and Warzone have been plagued by cheaters for quite some time now. Unfortunately, all of Activision’s efforts to curb this malpractice failed. Now, to avoid such a fiasco in the future, Activision is reportedly working on an anti-cheat software for Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War.
This is no known anti-cheat software for Modern Warfare or Warzone. All the player reports and complaints are check by the team to ensure their integrity. A lot of questions have been raised regarding this approach and Activision was under heavy fire for this. Although, it seems they won’t repeat the same mistake with Black Ops Cold War.
According to popular insider new channel “Modern Warzone”, Activision is reportedly working on an anti-cheat software.

I’ve been hearing rumors of an ACTUAL anti-cheat that’s in the works for #BlackOpsColdWar.
Here’s to hoping it works, and that it comes to fruition upon release.

They have been fairly accurate with their news in the past and hence this seems believable. Fans will definitely appreciate this decision considering it is about time this happened. And this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Activision sues yet another cheat manufacturer
A few weeks ago, news broke out that a popular cheats website was sued by Activision. This was a massive step taken by Activision to counter hackers. Now, Modern Warzone has tweeted that the company has sued yet another cheat manufacturer.
Activision have sent a cease and desist order to another cheat manufacturer, and according to the owner of that company, have also sent representatives to his house 🤯

This is definitely a welcome move by Activision considering their previous efforts failed miserably. There was even a point where they handed out 70,000 worldwide bans. Unfortunately, this worked against them and they had to roll back the bans.

The news of Black Ops Cold War getting its own anti-cheat software is brilliant. Moreover, it is a great benefit to the Call of Duty League. The organizers recently announced that the League is switching from PlayStation to PC. This makes it extremely crucial for the developers to keep their game free of cheating software.
The Cold War multiplayer reveal also showed that the game is all set to get an extreme makeover. Combat mechanics, movement, weapons, maps everything got an upgrade. With this addition of the rumored anti-cheat software, it’ll finally be a game to look forward to.
