Rusev Sends a Special Message to the Fans after Big AEW Debut

Former WWE superstar Rusev made his AEW debut this past Wednesday. After his debut, Miro (Rusev’s new in-ring name) becomes the latest addition in the long list of WWE turned AEW superstars. Although he blasted his former employer during his debut segment, he revealed that WWE fans have been very supportive of him.

Rusev/Miro Thanks Fans After His Debut

Fans were initially shocked after the debut of Miro. However, they soon opened up to witness “Miro Day”. The 3 time WWE United States Champion was one of the most popular wrestlers on the roster. He revealed in a tweet that the last few days have been amazing.

He is surely enjoying the unprecedented attention that he is getting from the wrestling world.

Miro is All Elite

In the last episode of AEW Dynamite, Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford made their way to the ring. Sabian announced his best man for the couple’s wedding, and it turned out to be none other than Rusev/Miro!

The Daileys Place exploded into the chants of “Miro Day,” thanks to the live audience. He came into the ring and told WWE to shove the “imaginary brass ring up their a**.” After spending 10 years under the same glass ceiling, he had come to AEW because “Elite recognizes the best.” He was not only Sabian’s best man but he was THE BEST MAN!

After WWE fired him in April due to budget cuts for the pandemic, Miro became a huge name on Twitch. He regularly vlogs on the platform and YouTube.

Other former WWE wrestlers like Jon Moxley, Brodie Lee, Chris Jericho, and Cody have been well received by AEW fans. Moxley and Lee are the AEW World Champion and TNT Champion, respectively. It is expected that Rusev will also rise through the AEW ranks soon.
