Ajinkya Rahane Dreams about Pink-ball Test, Gets Hilarious Reply from Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan

India captain Virat Kohli and teammate Shikhar Dhawan trolled Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane on social media after he posted a picture on Monday night where he was seen sleeping with a pink ball. This was referred to as the upcoming day-night Test in Kolkata.

Team India is preparing for the historic pink-ball Test at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata against Bangladesh which will be played from November 22 to 26. Both the teams will play a Test match under lights for the very first time in history. However, India have already won the two-match series by 1-0 after winning the first match in Indore by an innings and 130 runs.

“Already dreaming about the historic pink ball test,” Ajinkya Rahane said in a post on social along with a picture of him sleeping with a pink ball next to him.

Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan, however, trolled Rahane for this post. “Nice pose jinksy,” Kohli replied while Dhawan wrote, “Sapney mein pic khich gayi.” However, Ajinkya Rahane too had a witty reply to Dhawan as he wrote, ”Sapno ne nahi…apno ne pic khichi hai”.

Both Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane have reached Kolkata for the much-awaited game at 9.40 a.m. on Tuesday, much ahead of the rest of the team. According to the sources, the captain might give a visit to the Eden Gardens on Tuesday to have a look at the pitch.

The Eden track is expected to be a green top which will help Indian pace battery for sure. The 22-yard crease was under covers on Monday with pitch curator Sujan Mukherjee saying that no pink ball testing would take place before the action starts at 1 p.m. on Friday.

Besides Kohli and Rahane, Rohit Sharma will land in Kolkata on Wednesday, at 1.55 a.m. while pacers Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav will arrive on the same day, at 9.35 a.m. Another pacer Ishant Sharma will also reach on Tuesday, at 10.45 in the night. The rest of the team is expected to reach together on Tuesday along with the Bangladesh team.
