Back in 2017, Serena Williams won the Australian Open, which took her Grand Slam tally to 23. She went past Steffi Graf but remains behind Margaret Court who has won 24. She has been trying to equal the record since, but unfortunately, she hasn’t been successful yet.
This has raised a huge question in the minds of fans – will Serena ever equal the record? On this topic, the American star’s good friend Caroline Wozniacki gave her opinion.
“Everyone hopes that at least one more wins. It is obvious that she has the game to achieve it, but it will not be easy because there are many girls who play well. Even if she doesn’t win it, she has already shown that she is the best tennis player in history. We can feel lucky to have seen her play in our day,” said Wozniacki.

Many people agree with Wozniacki and already consider Serena Williams to be the greatest female tennis player of all time. However, the American star will still want to go after the Grand Slam record, as it would be another addition to her long list of achievements.
Since the 2020 season has come to an end, Serena is probably training to win her 24th major in 2021. This may be her last chance to win it as she is going to be 40 years old next year and it would become very difficult for her to compete with each passing year.
