Serena Williams is just one Grand Slam away from winning her 24th title. Currently, she stands second in the list of most Grand Slams, just behind Margaret Court.

Winner of 23 Grand Slam titles, Serena has been looking for her 24th title for a few years now without much success. While most people cite her injury and age as a factor, her stunning form on the court suggests otherwise.

Former French Open champion, Ana Ivanovic, has played against Serena Williams. While Ivanovic decided to retire, Serena has continued playing at the top level. Even though Serena has failed to win a title in recent years, her fitness and dedication are a treat to the eyes.

Ivanovic rubbished reports that say Serena is too old to continue. While many believe that she won’t be able to win her 24th title, Ivanovic is confident that the American will achieve the feat before retirement.

“I do think she will get the 24th that she wants. I think she may be just missing winning a final and just winning the final step. It’s amazing that she’s 39 and still playing at such a high level. I saw a little bit of her matches in the US Open and I was really amazed to see how was she moving and hitting the ball. It was very clean and very powerful. I haven’t seen her semi-final match but I really thought that she could do it there,” the former Roland Garros champion stated.

The Serbian mentioned the two venues which can help Serena grab her 24th title.

She loves playing hardcourt and US Open she always performs well there. Her emotions come into play in front of the home crowd. So I’d always rate her to do well there. Even at Wimbledon, I think she has a proper game, skills are amazing, strong shots, and like I said, moves really well. So I think Wimbledon or US Open could be her best chance.”
