In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Andy Murray talked about the participation at the US Open. He feels that many more players are going to pull out of the event like Barty. He said,
“I think we will see it quite a bit, I have heard some of the top male players aren’t going to play. I would expect that would be the case. It’s everyone’s personal decision. If they don’t feel safe and don’t feel comfortable, traveling, and going there and putting themselves and their team at an increased risk, then it’s completely understandable.”

The British star went on to talk express his concerns about the 2020 US Open taking place. In the interview, he said,

“All of the players will have some reservations and it’s whether or not you feel comfortable taking that risk. Like I said the other day, my feeling is once we are inside that bubble they created, we will be okay. It’s more the international travel, and getting there which I will be a bit concerned about it.”
Despite his concern about international travel, Andy Murray has confirmed his participation at the 2020 US Open. Everyone is going to be glad to see him play again as he has missed many years of tennis due to injury.

He has already started his preparation for the event by playing the Battle of the Brits exhibition that has been organized by his brother Jamie. Everyone is hoping that he will do really well at the US Open and possibly win his first Grand Slam title since the 2016 Wimbledon.
