The most polarizing personality in sports of MMA, Colby Covington took on the welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman in the main event of UFC 245. If Covington had won the title from Usman then it would have opened up a potential grudge match with Jorge Masvidal. However, Colby Covington’s jaw-breaking loss to Kamaru Usman it is very unlikely that fans are going to get the much-anticipated Masvidal vs Covington fight and that’s a bummer cause Masvidal was looking forward to that fight with some bad intentions.

In a recent interview on The Jim Rome Show today, when asked about Covington’s loss to Usman, Masvidal revealed his plans for Covington. The BMF stated:

“My initial thing was just to break his face, “My coach said ‘that’s gonna probably get you in jail and you have a fight. So let’s let the universe take care of him’. we will get him on a prize ring and break his jaw’. Somebody [Usman] beat me into that, but his jaw is broken.”

Jorge Masvidal Lashes at Heel Gimmick of Colby Covington

Jorge Masvidal has been very critical of Covington’s heel gimmick. He believes that Covington is nothing close to the persona he portrays to the fans. The fact that Covington crosses all the boundaries to sell PPVs does not sit well with his former best friend, Jorge Masvidal and rightfully so. Afterall, Covington threw Masvidal under the bus in the race to the welterweight title when Masvidal called out Usman on twitter. The BMF went on a rant talking about Covington’s gimmick and how he deserves the tough loss against Usman.

“His whole career is based on getting a rise out of people for likes and a paycheck. He wants to always get a reaction out of people. Now this individual, when people are trying to get a reaction out of him he is reporting people on Instagram, he took the comments off. This is the guy who was calling people Virgins, Nerds and they live at parents’ basements, Marks, Snowflakes, Making fun of Brazilians. That country it’s not like a rich country and it’s doing well, they got a lot of poverty over there man, they got a lot of people who take it to heart what you are saying and he does not give a flying fuck. And he does that for likes on facebook and paychecks. The guy is a clown. He got what he deserved,” said Masvidal.
