Aryna Sabalenka Introduces Big Changes in Her Team Ahead of US Open 2020

After being suspended for months, the WTA Tour has finally returned. The first event that was played was the Palermo Open and now, many players are playing Top Seed Open in Lexington to prepare for the US Open. Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka is one of them and her new coach is going to be joining her soon. Check out who her new coach is.

There are only 3 weeks left for the US Open and Aryna Sabalenka is preparing as well as possible. She did suffer a scare in her first match against Madison Brengle as she was pushed to a third set. However, she sealed her victory by winning the last set 6-2.

She is going to want to do better and that is why her new coach is going to be joining her soon. In a recent tweet by the WTA Insider, it was revealed that Aryna hired Dieter Kindllmann. He is a former tennis player and he has coached other players like Elise Mertens and Angelique Kerber.

The Belarusian definitely wants to do her best at the US Open especially in the doubles’ event. She won the event last year and she will be looking to defend her title. However, she is going to want to do well at the singles event and she has a great chance this year.

Since the United States has recorded the most COVID-19 cases, many players have opted out of the event this year. In addition to that, there are many other players who are not sure about the event because of the strict restrictions.

It is obviously unfortunate that many players have withdrawn from the 2020 US Open. However, players like Sabalenka can use this opportunity to do very well and possibly, win their first  Grand Slam in the singles’ event.
