Australia have registered a massive 185-run win over England in the fourth Test of the ongoing Ashes series. With this win, Australia have retained the Ashes and Tim Paine became first Australia Captain to do so in England since Steve Waugh in 2001. Although the series have been going well for Australia, it has certainly not for David Warner; who has failed to impress since the beginning of the series. Stuart Broad has dismissed him six times during the ongoing Ashes. However, Stuart Broad got into David Warner’s head, said Steve Smith. Broad has dismissed Warner on three back-to-back ducks.

“We’ve talked, a few different things here and there,” Steve Smith was quoted as saying by abc.net.au. “It’s just trying to form a plan to get through Broad.”

“He’s admitted himself Broad’s had the wood on him throughout this series and he’s been talking to myself and Justin (Langer) and Graeme Hick (batting coach). I think about the ways he can play. He’s tried a couple of different ways and they haven’t quite worked,” Steve Smith further added.

However, Smith shared it was not easy for both the sides to face the new ball. He even praised the England bowlers – Jofra Archer and Stuart Broad.

“It’s been tough with the new ball for both sides,” Smith said. “The ball’s probably done its most when it’s new. When it gets a little bit softer it doesn’t do quite as much, it gets a little bit easier.”

“They’ve bowled pretty well with the new ball. They’re particularly good bowlers to left-handed batters, both Broad and (Jofra) Archer. It’s not been easy for Davey and Marcus but they’re trying their hardest,” the former captain further added.

Australia have registered the win on the back of Steve Smith who has scored a double-century in the first innings of the fourth Test. He even scored 82 in the second innings and made the distance between the two teams to retain the Ashes for Australia.
