20-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal is one of the hardest-to-defeat professional athletes in the world. The Spaniard’s competitive streak extends beyond tennis, to golf as well. Recently, he put his golf skills on show at the Hexagonal tournament in Ibiza, Spain. And the result did not come as a surprise to anyone.

Among 170 individual entrants, Nadal finished at the top. However, as per the Stableford scoring system, his team came second out of the 43 teams. Team RNA accumulated 97 points, whereas the winners collected 98 points.

Unquestionably, the 35-year-old puts his 100% in everything that he does. And despite his persistent foot injury, the Spaniard did not stop competing. Indeed, it is one reason why the world hails him as one of the greatest professional athletes in the world.

Nadal’s love for sports besides tennis: Golf and Soccer

Earlier this year, Rafael Nadal also participated in the 2020 Balearic Golf Championship. Even then, amongst professional golfers, he finished joint-sixth in the competition.

Most significantly, golf is the sport where his ambidexterity shows its true colors. While Rafa plays prominently as a left-hander in tennis, he plays golf as a righty.

Furthermore, the Spanish legend is also passionate about soccer. Notably, Nadal plays soccer with his right leg as his dominant force. In addition, Rafa has been a Real Madrid fan for all his life. He even launched the home kit for his local La Liga team, Real Mallorca, this year.

All in all, Nadal takes everything in his best sense as a competitor. Consequently, beating him is one of the toughest challenges for his peers, especially on a tennis court.
