Last set started with Minaur scoring the first game point, after which both his and Carlos’ points got tied at 3 games each. Thereafter, Minaur took the lead by winning the fourth game. However, Carlos ended the match by winning two consecutive games. Thus, bringing an end to the nerve-wracking match by a third set victory of 6-4.
What Does the Finals Look Like?
Carlos Alcaraz will play against Pablo Carreno Busta, the 30-year-old Spanish tennis professional. He held the ranking of World no. 10 in year 2017 and has six career titles. However, Pablo failed to give a decent start to this year. He made a run till the fourth round of Australian Open and since then hasn’t given a noteworthy performance. Therefore, he will eye the title this ATP 500 event has to offer.

Speaking of Carlos, he isn’t the same as he was in the hard courts. Alcaraz took straight-set wins in most of his matches in the sunshine double. Whereas with Barcelona Open, out of his four wins, including the semifinals, three came in three sets. Though Carlos has taken the current world no.5 and the reigning Monte Carlo champion, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and is looking strong since then.
