Unquestionably, 2022 has been a pretty bad year for the former World no.1 Novak Djokovic. Earlier in the summer, he could not play the Australian Open because of non-vaccination. Later, the Serb announced that he would not take any vaccine to take part in any Grand Slam event. As a result, his participation was in doubt for the next Grand Slam event, the French Open.

However, in the latest news, Djokovic can finally breathe a sigh of relief. It seems like he can finally take part in a Grand Slam tournament and possibly two.

Novak Djokovic is all set to play the French Open

Earlier on Thursday, the French government announced that they will lift the vaccine pass for everyone from March 14 onwards. After receiving loads of bad news in 2022, this is truly one of the best news for the 20-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic.

As a result of this announcement, Djokovic is now free to play in the Monte Carlo Masters, which will start on 9th April. And later, in May, Djokovic can finally play the French Open, where he won last year after getting better of Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final. Notably, the French Open will start on May 22 and will end on June 5.
