Carlos Alcaraz Creates History- Breaks Novak Djokovic’s Record To Become the Youngest Masters 1000 Champion at Miami

The entire tennis world was looking forward to the final match at the Miami Open 2022. Rising youngster Carlos Alcaraz played against Casper Rudd in an exciting culmination of two weeks of great and dramatic tennis. The 18-year-old won the match and with this win, he  becomes the youngest champion in the history of the Miami Open. He breaks a record set by the current World No. 1, Novak Djokovic!

Alcaraz had a slow start but managed to pick up his form as the match progressed. Ruud broke his serve in the second game but the Spaniard soon recovered to break back and get back on serve. Alcaraz once again broke in the eleventh game to get a 6-5 lead and then served the first set out.

Ruud’s initial level of play going into the second set was a little off-rhythm, and Alcaraz capitalized on that. But,he soon found his mojo back to break the Spaniard.

However, this increased level was still not enough to make a proper inroad into the match and Alcaraz seized the second set 6-4 to win his first ATP 1000 title.

Both Casper Ruud and Carlos Alzaraz are extremely talented and have one thing in common. Both of them have spent quite some time practicing at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca and also against the legendary Spaniard. But, Carlos Alcaraz has been in the news for quite a while now, given his meteoric rise. At just 18 years of age, his path so far has been like his idol and compatriot Rafael Nadal.

His aggressive and dominating game along with sharp, crisp, and accurate shots ensured Ruud has a tough time keeping up with the Spaniard.
