There is a huge update for Roger Federer fans. The legion of fans of the Swiss Maestro who are eagerly waiting to see the tennis legend don a new role in the sport will be happy to read this update. The wait to see the 20-time Grand Slam champion at Wimbledon might finally come to an end. 

Last year when the former world number one walked away from professional tennis at the Laver Cup, he made it clear that he will not ghost out from the sports arena. He promised to stay connected to tennis during his highly charged farewell speech. Everyone will be pleased to hear that Federer is definitely making plans to stick to his promise. 

Roger Federer visits Wimbledon

The 20-time Grand Slam champion reportedly visited the All-England club last week as he is still looking for options before joining the BBC Wimbledon coverage. According to the Daily Mail, reported by the Express, he visited SW19 last week. It certainly caught the attention of the tennis world as the chances of seeing him at this year’s Wimbledon have dramatically increased.

Earlier, the 8-time Wimbledon champion was set to be in advanced talk to join the BBC team this summer. If the former world number one made his way to the BBC broadcasting team, he will apparently take the place of Sue Barker, who departed from BBC last year.
