Rafael Nadal is the greatest player to have ever played at the French Open. The Spaniard has gone on to win an incredible 13 titles. Additionally, over his career, the 35-year-old has tasted just three losses at Roland Garros. Such has been the dominance of the Spaniard in the tournament, that he is famously called the ‘King of Clay’.
Further, the Spanish legend is looking to win his second Grand Slam title this year after his success in the Australian Open. He has broken hardly any sweat en route to the fourth round of the French Open 2022. After his victory yesterday, Nadal opened up about playing in the night sessions in Paris.

Rafael Nadal on why he doesn’t prefer playing under the lights at French Open
During an interview, the 35-year-old said that he didn’t like to play in the night sessions on the clay court. Revealing his reasons, he said, “I don’t like night sessions on clay. I don’t like to play on clay during the night, because the humidity is higher, the ball is slower, and there can be very heavy conditions especially when it’s cold.”
Further, he added, “I think that makes a big difference between the way tennis is played on clay during the night and during the day.”

Nadal braces for the challenge of Felix Auger-Aliassime
Yesterday, the Spaniard defeated Botic Van De Zandschulp of the Netherlands in straight sets to advance to the fourth round of the French Open 2022. In a match lasting two hours and 11 minutes, Nadal prevailed over his Dutch opponent 6-3, 6-2, 6-4.
