Carlos Alcaraz on the importance of improving each day
During the post-match press conference, the Spaniard took Rafael Nadal’s work ethic as motivation and said, “It was difficult at the beginning, but it’s always special to play in such a good stadium, a great court… I’m really happy with the performance in my first match in the Philippe Chatrier and I hope to play more matches in this court.”
Further, he added, “You have to improve every day (even) if you’re the best player in the world. Not in my case, but, for example, Rafa says that he’s improving every day. I would say that I have to improve everything. I’m reaching my dream, I’m really happy with playing tennis, playing these kinds of tournaments in these kinds of stadiums is not for everyone, so I would say that’s the best thing.”
