There was a major upset yesterday at the French Open 2022. Last year’s finalist, Stefanos Tsitsipas exited the tournament after losing to Danish youngster, Holger Rune. It was a disappointing loss for the Greece national, who was expected to make it to latter stages of the tournament after having been handed a comparatively easy draw.

Nonetheless, it was Rune’s biggest win of his nascent career. He became only the second player from Denmark after Caroline Wozniacki to reach the quarterfinals of the French Open in singles. After the match, Tsitsipas gave details of what went wrong for him.

Further, he added, “I was very nervous on the court, being frustrated a lot and I knew I was this way but I couldn’t stop being like this especially when you feel like you know there have been a few changes in terms of equipment and stuff like that and but I wouldn’t attribute that to the equipment. I wouldn’t put all of the blame to the equipment because it’s something that I chose for my personal progress and getting better.”
