“Haven’t Stopped Training”: Nick Kyrgios Hopes to Make an Incredible Comeback at Australian Open 2021

Australian tennis superstar Nick Kyrgios is planning to return to the court soon. The 25-year-old has started his training and is trying to make a fabulous comeback at the Australian Open 2021. In a recent interview, Kyrgios admitted that he was training continuously despite the lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Yes, I haven’t stopped training. I feel like I am probably in the best shape of my career. Looking forward to getting back on the court,” said Kyrgios in the interview.
Nick Kyrgios last played a tour match in February 2020. After that, he caught up a back injury which could not let him take part in the US Open 2020 and the French Open 2020. In the interview, Kyrgios also revealed what he missed the most in this long break.

“I do miss the feeling of winning, going out there, and playing big moments. It’s what I live for,” added an enthusiastic Kyrgios.
His words tell about the passion with which Kyrgios plays the game. He is certainly one of the players whose absence from the sport was unbearable for fans.

Despite winning six career titles so far, Kyrgios is yet to win a Grand Slam. However, he just wanted to focus on his game and perform well at the upcoming Australian Open 2021 in front of his home crowd.
“Not think about it too much. Hopefully, the Australian summer is successful and I can share more of these moments with the home crowd. I am just excited to have tennis back home again and of course, being able to play in front of everyone here,” concluded a cheerful Kyrgios.
