It was the beginning of an illustrious career for the then 21-year-old Federer. Since then he has added 19 major titles to take his tally to 20 Grand Slam titles. Recently, his agent, Tony Godsick, talked about Federer’s comeback at Wimbledon.

Tony Godsick reveals Roger Federer aims to play at least one Wimbledon Championships

The Swiss maestro is away from the tour since July 2021. He suffered a knee injury after his quarterfinal defeat against Hubert Hurkacz at Wimbledon. Outlining Federer’s comeback plans, Tony Godsick said, “He’s exactly where he wants to be but unfortunately it takes time. He’s going to play Laver Cup and Swiss Indoors. I don’t want to be the doctor but what I hope for him is to able to have a great rehab this summer, play some in the fall and give a nice shot at 2023, and then see what happens. I haven’t talked to him about that.”
