That move seems to have paid off with his runner-up finish at Wimbledon. Recently, his mother recounted how Andy Murray helped him to overcome the toughest phase of his life.

Kyrgios had previously opened up about his mental health struggles and walking away from the sport a few years back. During Kyrgios’ tough phase, Andy Murray raised concerns about his health to his former agent, John Morris.

Andy Murray announces grim news
Last week, the former World Number 1 announced the passing away of his pet dog, Maggie. Murray took to Instagram to share this awful news with his fans, saying, “Today our family said goodbye to this amazing little dog. She was a huge part of our family and our first pet so this really hurts…”
