Ask Carlos Alcaraz, the Spanish teenager who won the biggest title of his career yesterday. The 18-year-old defeated Casper Ruud of Norway to claim his maiden ATP Masters 1000 title. Further, he did it in style, putting on a statement show of what is going to come next. Following in the footsteps of his idol, Rafael Nadal, Alcaraz has set high standards for himself for the remainder of the 2022 season.

Carlos Alcaraz aims to win a Grand Slam by year-end
During his post-match interview after his finals victory at Miami Open, the interviewer asked the Spaniard about his upcoming goals after bettering the goals he had set previously. Alcaraz said, “Well, as you said, it was the goal to end the year in top-15 and be able to win ATP 500. I did it in Rio and then when I won it, I think well now looking for a Masters 1000. I did it here.”
Further, he added, “So hoping to get a Grand Slam this year. But it is tough. It is a tough world for me. Now, trying to go to the top-10 or be able to classify (qualify) to the ATP Finals in the end of the year.”
