Moreover, he won the title after beating Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic in back-to-back matches. In the final, he beat world no.3 Alexander Zverev to claim his first Madrid crown. Meanwhile, with his recent success, the Spaniard has really become popular among the fans. In a recent interview with La Nacion, he opened up about how he is handling the popularity.

In that interview, he talked on various aspects – right from his coach to the hopes of winning a Grand Slam title win. 

Speaking about handling popularity, he said, “I’m handling the popularity thing quite well. Little by little it will be more difficult for me to expose myself, but things have to be clear and I am clear that when I want to expose myself I will do it without any problem.” (Google Translate)

Alcaraz’s injury concern ahead of the French Open 

Earlier, he had an interview with Marca, where he talked about his major goal this year, which is to win a Grand Slam title. Furthermore, he seemed confident that it would happen at Roland Garros. However, he had to withdraw from Rome after suffering an ankle injury in Madrid. 

According to experts, it was nothing more than a precautionary move from Alcaraz’s team as he needed rest after winning back-to-back titles in Barcelona and Madrid.
