Nick Kyrgios’ biggest concern
Kyrgios, who carried noteworthy runs winning 15 out of his last 16 matches, crumbled at the quarterfinals. When asked about the same said, “I honestly don’t care [about the winning streak ending]. I have been on the road for nearly three months and I’ve been away from home, away from my mom who is in hospital, away from my dad. They’re not very well at the moment.” The former world No. 13 incurred a 7-6(4) 6-7(5) 6-1 loss against the Pole.
Thereafter, he added, “When I am on the road, I just want to put in good performances and make it worthwhile being here. I don’t care about records and that sort of stuff.” The Aussie arrived after the clay court season and stormed the greens of London. If things go well, he will return to his nation after the last Grand Slam of the season only.
