‘You Are the Most HATED Athlete in Australia’ – Nick Kyrgios Slams Bernard Tomic for Mocking Him

Nick Kyrgios and Bernard Tomic have had a feisty relationship over the last few years. Once good friends, their bonding has taken a completely different turn. During their junior days, the two were highly rated to make it big in tennis. They have had contrasting 2022 seasons. While Kyrgios has gone on to win the Australian Open men’s doubles title, Tomic is battling poor form and has dropped to Number 418 in the world in the rankings.

Recently, a war of words erupted after Tomic made inappropriate comments regarding Kyrgios. The latter expressed his frustration, giving a fitting reply to Tomic.

Nick Kyrgios responds to Bernard Tomic’s comments

Tomic, on his official Instagram handle, mocked Kyrgios, saying, “He knows my style dominates his and he knows he will lose. The only logical explanation is that I’m his idol.” Subsequently, Kyrgios vented his frustration, saying, “Haha TOMIC let’s not forget the time I payed for your flight home from Shanghai because you had no money. Hahahaha re write history, you are the most HATED athlete in Australia. You are right, no one can take over that.” Kyrgios shared this message as a story on his official Instagram handle.

However, this is not the first time the two have gone on against each other. Earlier this year, Tomic made comments that he was better than Kyrgios. Subsequently, Kyrgios responded by saying, “Better in what way? I’ve got a higher career high, more money, more wins and give back whenever I can. It’s time for Bernard Tomic to just quiet down. He ain’t even playing anymore. I’ve got years left.”
