VIDEO: Roger Federer’s Hilarious Reaction to Caroline Wozniacki’s All-Out Imitation of Serena Williams During a Match Against Maria Sharapova

In 2012, Roger Federer created an exhibition tour called ‘The Gillette Federer Tour’. During this tour, he played in Columbia and Brazil. Along with him, many other famous players also joined this tour, including Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova, Caroline Wozniacki, Victoria Azarenka, Bruno Soares, Thomaz Bellucci, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Marcelo Melo, and the Bryan brothers. 

During the women’s singles match between Maria Sharapova and Caroline Wozniacki, one particular incident brought a hint of a laugh from the Swiss Maestro.

Caroline Wozniacki’s hilarious impersonation of Serena Williams made Maria Sharapova and Roger Federer laugh

During that match, Sharapova was playing some excellent tennis against Wozniacki, as Federer was watching from the dugout. As the Russian player was winning the match 6-2, 5-4, Wozniacki decided to imitate her good friend, Serena Williams.

After seeing Wozniacki‘s impression, both Sharapova and Federer chuckled along with the entire crowd.

Serena and Sharapova’s famous rivalry

The Russian had a torrid time facing the 23-time grand slam champion in her career. In terms of the head-to-head record, Serena is way ahead (20-2) of the Russian tennis player. Despite the record, their encounters have always attracted many tennis fans from all over the world.

In 2004, Serena won their first match at the Miami Masters pretty comfortably. However, Sharapova got her revenge against the American as she beat her in the Wimbledon final to win her first Grand Slam title at the age of 17. Later that year, she again beat Serena in the WTA Finals to win another trophy. However, that was Sharapova’s only success to date. In the next 17 meetings, Serena was triumphant.

Sharapova retired from tennis in 2020 while her great rival, Serena, is still playing on the tour. Moreover, she has also won 23 Grand Slam titles, just one behind Margaret Court who holds the all-time record of 24 Grand Slams.
