Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid would love to play alongside Ben Simmons for as long as possible.
Embiid and Simmons have been playing together for three years. Simmons came into the side as a 20-year-old in 2016, when the Sixers drafted him with the first overall pick. The two have been an exciting combination for the Sixers and many expect them to achieve bigger things.
Talking on the Rights to Ricky Sanchez podcast, Embiid said he wouldn’t mind playing with Simmons for the rest of his career.

“When you think about it, we have only played our third year together. I love him and I want to be with him for the rest of my career because he still has a lot of potential. We can get so much better than we are right now,” he said, talking about Simmons.
Simmons and Embiid have risen as star players in the recent years. Simmons has been an NBA All-Star for the last two seasons while Embiid for the last three seasons. The two led the Sixers to the Eastern Conference finals last season and will be looking for more in the years to come by.
Is Joel Embiid fit to restart the season with Philadelphia 76ers?
As the NBA season is set to resume inside the Orlando bubble, the Sixers will be aiming for a deep post season run.
The Sixers participated in three scrimmages ahead of the season’s restart, and Embiid missed two of them with right calf tightness. But Philadelphia coach Brett Brown is confident he will be back when the season resumes. The Sixers play their first game against Indiana Pacers on Saturday.

“That’s my expectation,” Brown said recently on Embiid playing against the Pacers. “I am always sort of receiving news from our medical staff. But that is my expectation.”
The Sixers have already booked their place in the playoffs. They were sixth in the Eastern Conference prior to the league’s suspension, with 49 wins in 65 games. The eight games that the Sixers play before the post season will be important for securing a higher seed in their conference.
