After winning a nail-biting game against the LA Clippers, the Lakers would have wanted to extend their run. With a win against the Toronto Raptors, they could have further enlarged their lead at the top of the western conference table. However, that didn’t happen as a Kyle Lowry masterclass put the Lakers down.

Moreover, Danny Green, a former Raptor did not show up on the night. The Lakers dearly missed the veteran in their defeat against the Toronto Raptors. Green, a two-time NBA champion is one of the productive three-point shooters in the game. He has a career 3-point field goal average of 40.1%, but this season his mark has dropped a bit.

Since the seeding games restart, Green hasn’t been able to bring out the best version of his shooting. He’s played an average of 22 minutes in the two seeding games till now, but has only registered six points in total.

The game against the Raptors was woeful. Danny Green’s shooting accuracy stood at zero percent on the night. He made 0 of the 13 shots that he attempted throughout the nineteen minutes that he played. While this may cause a great concern among Laker fans, Frank Vogel has remained calm about the issue.

Lakers head-coach Frank Vogel comments on Danny Green’s shooting form

Frank Vogel is a calm and composed man. He’s successfully guided the Lakers to reclaim their spot as the best in the west. The Lakers are now going to make the playoffs for the first time since 2013. While people might largely credit LeBron James and Anthony Davis for it, coach Vogel deserves his share of praise too.

“We believe Danny’s going to make shots,” Vogel said. “You know, he’ll have nights like that from time to time in his career, but he’s a proven, professional shooter, you know what I mean? I’m sure he’ll bounce back next game.”

Danny Green is certainly a valuable asset to have in your team. He found success with the Raptors last year as they went to win the maiden title in the franchise’s history. But, this season is different and a more challenging one. Can Danny Green regain his form and prove to be a major contributor for the Lakers this year?
