“I just thought it was pointless for someone to tell I didn’t have a mask on by myself,” Howard told reporters Saturday (Via ESPN). “I don’t even know when it happened.”

“Everybody is making a big deal out of it, but I feel like we are in the safest place in Orlando. We get tested every day. If we are only around each other, we get tested every day, we can’t practice with masks on, I personally don’t see a risk of us getting it during the time period we are here.”
Since the news of NBA setting up a hotline for players to report protocol breaches came up, there were a few discussions about it. Many pundits and former players have given their opinion on it. Considering the pandemic, the NBA could not afford to take any risks regarding the safety of those inside the bubble. Thus, the hotline is a part of its safety measures.

The Lakers are certainly in contention for a deep postseason run. And Howard will have his role to play. He might not have started every game for the Lakers, but he has made his presence felt, nonetheless. He has averaged over seven points and seven rebounds this season in 62 appearances.
