He was also sporting a No. 97 jersey, the number most likely chosen over his birth year 1997. BamBam, now working with ABYSS COMPANY, is considered a part of the ’97 liners’ group in k-pop along with BTS’ Jungkook, GOT7’s Yugyeom, NCT’s Jaehyun, Seventeen’s Mingyu, The8 and DK, and ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo.

Of course, BamBam had to share the news on Twitter as well. Curry replied to the Thai artist, delighting all users as well.

Thank you BamBam! Welcome to #DubNation,” Curry said.

BamBam has previously tweeted about Curry, also asking fans to vote for Curry for the fast-approaching NBA All-Star game. “Starting the voting now! if you vote for Stephen Curry you’ll know what’s coming,” BamBam said in a tweet. His fans (IGot7s) ended up voting Curry for their idol and even tweeted him the results later on.

“Congrats Bambam!! I’m so proud of you,” one fan said, adding that Curry did well in the voting results.

Interestingly, GOT7 – the seven-member k-pop group BamBam’s a part of – also did a shoot with NBA Style Korea back in 2016. Fans drew parallels from that very shoot, marveling at how much he has grown.
